Welcome to Mrs. Warner's Learning Community!
I have been teaching at a high poverty school in Indianapolis, Indiana since 1990 in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade, and was also the Instructional Coach for 10 years. Now I am a professor of literacy at the University of Indianapolis.
With my passion for making learning fun and engaging for students, I began placing many of the resources I used in the classroom on this website. Originally, I created this website to keep my resources organized and as a way to share resources with my students and families. As I planned my lessons, I wanted an easy way to "save" all of my resources ~ anchor charts, visuals, video clips, website link and games. Every morning on my computer, I would open a new tab for each page on my website that I would use to teach the lessons for that day. Then, I would email parents with the links that we used. Students could then review lessons from home. Parents loved feeling connected to what was happening with their child's learning and empowered to help at home. I hope the resources on my website will be beneficial to you and your students! I would love to connect with fellow educators and parents, so feel free to contact me with the links below.
Now I utilize this website to help share my knowledge of the science of reading and learning with educators across the nation and globe. It has been an incredible honor to connect with so many educators through this website. I try to provide many free and low cost resources on most of the pages of this site.
