Learning About Indiana History
Famous Hoosier Wax Museum Project Information
Your child will research a famous Hoosier during the last 9 weeks of 4th grade. The research will be completed in class along with completing a research packet, writing a 5 paragraph report and short speech. In addition, the display board will also be completed in class.
You will only need to help your child locate props and/or an outfit that helps your child act as the famous Hoosier. This is a large part of your child's Social Studies grade - worth 75 points, so your child will want to choose a person that he or she is very interested in researching.
The Wax Museum is the time for other classes and parents to come observe the 4th graders "come to life" and tell about their life as a famous Hoosier. Speeches will need to be about 1 minute in length.
