Reading opens the imagination.
Researching Optical Illusions
We will be researching optical illusions during our study of Houdini.
The websites linked below are four really great ones for kids! Print
out a copy of your favorite optical illusion. Try to copy and paste the
image onto a word document before you print. Write an explanation
describing the illusion and how it tricks your eyes. If time allows,
you may choose more than one optical illusion to print out and describe.
Write a brief (short) paragraph explaining what an optical illusion really is
so that younger students can understand.

Learning to Write a Friendly Letter
Students will write a letter to Victor pretending to be Harry Houdini.
Explain why you are giving the box to Victory. Be sure to use proper
friendly letter writing format: date, greeting, indent paragraphs,
closing, and signature (Mr. Harry Houdini). Don't forget to use
capitalization, ending punctuation, and commas in all the correct places.
